WINEMAKING
This wine was handmade with exceptional care, starting with the fruit being destemmed directly into a one and three quarter ton Rousseau French oak tank for fermentation with a yeast strain chosen to highlight the aromatic intensity and structure of the grape. The wine was then transferred into a number of the finest quality Rousseau French oak barrels to age for an additional 16 months prior to bottling.

WINEMAKERS TASTING NOTES AND COMMENTS
We’re delighted to offer our first vintage of the Croft Vineyards Pinot Noir. Located in the Willamette Valley, the vineyards are in a microclimate protected from the Van Duzer winds by the Oregon Coast Range and are planted on Bellpine soil, famous for imparting floral and spice driven notes to the grape. This well-structured Pinot Noir presents dense, dark red fruits on the midpalate, punctuated by brighter notes of cherry and plum. The fruit is balanced by a sophisticated minerality, and finishes with lingering heady peppery spices and a subtle earthy undertone. Pair with roasted duck, savory mushroom gratin or grilled salmon.
