WINEMAKERS TASTING NOTES AND COMMENTSThis single vineyard version of our Russian River Valley Pinot Noir comes from one of our favorite vineyards of that appellation, Vine Hill Ranch, which is located west of Sebastopol, and was planted 8 years ago with clones 777 and Cruz. This site has given us a wine that combines the deep, dark, voluptuous cherry fruit we expect out of the Russian River Valley with a complex mix of exotic spice and candied orange peel. Broad and lush in the palate, the wine mingles both red and black cherry, brown sugar and savory spice from Rousseau barrels. Ready to enjoy now, it has ample soft structure to continue to improve for many years.
