WINEMAKING
Hand harvested grapes and 100 % destemmed. Fermented in small open top stainless steel fermenters and T-Bins ● Cap manually punched down two to three times a day
during fermentation ● 3 days cold soak and 9 days total cuvaison average ● Aged an average of 22 months in French oak barrels ● 40 % new oak From Tonnellerie Saint Martin. Bottled unfined and unfiltered on August of 2007 ● Released in May 2008

WINEMAKERS TASTING NOTES AND COMMENTS
This complex yet elegant Syrah comes from grapes sourced from the renowned Boushey Vineyard in the cool upper Yakima Valley (900-1200 feet) of Eastern Washington State. Syrah grapes are grown on a particular south facing slope characterized by good air drainage and cooler climate compared to other regions.
It is richly flavored with dark plum and berry fruit, hints of dried lavender, and a soft finish of chocolate and dried figs. The owner, Dick Boushey, is one of the most reputable grower in Washington state, serving for years as a leader in Washington’s budding wine industry.
